400 Linden is a new townhouse project, and the firm’s first ground-up building in Brooklyn. The building is organized as eight alternating duplex dwelling units with a private outdoor yard. Balconies are added to the project that either face Linden Street or the rear yard, which differentiate the building from similar housing blocks in the surrounding neighborhood. The five-story structure is divided by a common core staircase that opens up to shared landings on each floor while separating the mirrored living/dining units on each side of the building. Duplex residences span the rear side of the building linking the first and second floors as well as floors 4 and 5 with interior spiral staircases. The fourth floor opens up to a penthouse bedroom suite with private patio access facing the back yard. Located on the edge of Bushwick, residents will find access to public transportation conveniently close to home and minutes away from Manhattan.
